Bouncy Castle Hire & Fake Google Maps Reviews

On Saturday 21 August 2010 a rival bouncy castle business posted a fake review of Family Bounce Inflatables™ on our Google Local / Google Maps business listing, posing as a customer. Google will delete the review shortly, following our spam report and I have therefore provided an image below showing the review, along with our response:

There are two possible places where this silly review may have come from:

  1. One of the bouncy castle hire businesses ‘promoted’ in the review; or
  2. A different bouncy castle hire business operating in Leeds, who are trying to get other companies to give each other bad reviews for their own benefit.

All I can say is thank you for being so irate at your loss of business from the surge in our business that you have decided to write an essay length review, which the reader can immediately see as being spam / fake. If the review had been much shorter, like ‘they never turned up’ or something like that, people may have believed it, but no, they wrote a load of rubbish about trying to visit us! Why would anyone visit a bouncy castle businesses’ lock up? Duh!

Anyway, I hope people can appreciate that we are an up and coming bouncy castles business, with newer, better quality bouncy castles and inflatables slides than the local competition and it is getting their backs up as they are losing business. Our business’ aim is to simply provide the best quality service at the lowest cost, whilst making profit. If that puts the other local businesses out of business, then that’s not my fault. They should use better equipment, be more reliable and stop charging too much. I get calls every weekend by frantic customers trying to book in with us same day, because other local business have let them down. Every week it is the same reason, “their van broke down”. Bullshit! They have an easier booking, which is closer and they have cancelled someone to take on an easier booking instead. Well, we never do that. I have my own children and I know how disappointed they would be if they were expecting a bouncy castle that never turned up. But, I suppose that is another reason why we are so popular in Leeds and the other websites are losing business.

I would love to hear people’s thoughts on the fake review above, please leave your comments below.
